I think twitter is pretty polarizing in the journalism world since there is a lot of competetion for the old standbys (**** the BBWAA) who feel entitled to only their opinions being heard. I kind of thought of this while listening to the BS report last week and BS was talking about the Seinfeld Today twitter (https://twitter.com/SeinfeldToday) and he said something like "that was funny for like 20 minutes" very smugly.

I think to a lot of commentators/sportswriters out there Twitter is a huge threat to their monopoly and they hate it.

Simmons is right about Seinfeld Today they had 12 really good jokes. Than kept cranking out more to get a ton of followers, which worked, but after the first batch of good ones they were all like.

"Jerry joins instagram. Kramer joins foursquare. George gets a chromebook. I am a sad man who cums after 1k retweets."

Twitter is so elite, obv you just have to follow the right people. For me it's all-in-one sports/news/comedy (there's an insane number of really funny people tweeting stuff). Plus I have a few friends on there that are actually interesting/funny.

The only downside is the fact that it's just constant content which can lead to me getting really addicted to it.

I'm still enjoying Seinfeld today fwiw, but it probably has more to do with me being obsessed with Seinfeld than the actual account quality.
