Couldn't hurt to slide $1 to a good bartender.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and The Challenge Discussion

Interesting. I was at one of these last week and tipped a dollar on my first drink and bartender looked like she didn't want it so I asked her "you still take tips right?" and she responded "yea, I guess so." I didnt tip the rest of the night and didn't see anyone else tip either. There were roughly 75 people there for 2 hours or so.

Unless you're like completely broke there isn't much downside to always tipping the bartender

$10 on the first drink then getting poured straight liquor the rest of the night. It's always a good deal.

not completely broke, but almost certainly have less money than everyone else there. Was a holiday party for institutional investors in Atlanta and was mostly 35-50 year old bankers, traders, and sales people.

It was completely open bar. At one point someone ordered a bunch of $20 (guessing, he said "the most expensive tequila you have") shots and sent half of them back because not enough people wanted them. Getting good drinks was a non-issue.

she had the look of "I dont think we're supposed to take tips in this situation" rather than "I don't want it" so I probably should've used a different phrase. I just thought it was standard to tip, but at this specific event it was definitely not.

I can see people not liking Radiohead by its a matter of personable preference.

Ie some people prefer to be ******ed.

I always play Radiohead on the jukebox at my local bar. It goes good with eating flats with bleu cheese.
