just theorizing here but i think this would increase mental health illness.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. The gf graduated today so I was drunk at like 4pm, sobered up, now I'm out on the town again. YOLO, or whatever the cool kids say

Drudge leading with this NY Daily News article on a teacher from the shooting that was a nice tribute: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.1221004. Apparently one of the more depressing/intrusive photos from the scene was that of her sister.

After reading about the final scene of the Sopranos discussion and watching it on YouTube, I was fully expecting to get capped when the cover band at the bar I just walked into started playing 'Don't Stop Believing'

i think we're being honest we were all at least a little let down by the ending of sopranos but heartbreaking might be going a little far

every forum on this entire site exists for containment purposes.

Also it's hilarious how SEers are like "lol at politards blowing up full ****** about this" and then posting the most obviously ******ed **** from twitter as if it's news.

i mean it's not really a matter of being more evolved. politics and religion are 2 topics where there is little to no willingness to listen to or accept the opposing viewpoint. so any debate on matters of consequence are just 2 stubborn hard-headed groups going male silverback gorilla on each other. only instead of awesome male silverback gorilla fights, it's textual aids by angry people on their computers

as opposed to the "lol stealers" thread where pittsburgh fans use logic and reason to convince other people to cheer for rapists.

I dont think this is true at all. I've changed my religious viewpoint over time due to introspection and talking to people that hold different beliefs. I have done the same with politics and even changed my presidential vote on the basis of some compelling arguments made by some friends on some of the issues at hand this year. Its only a specific subset of generally low intelligence individuals that don't listen to and consider the other sides' arguments and it just so happens that those people tend to be the most vocal in those forums while being less vocal about things like art, physics, opera, etc. I think this causes many people to come to the above conclusion even though it is equally difficult to change stupid people's opinions on just about any subject.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and The Challenge Discussion

seriously SRM, you should actually try reading politics instead of just imagining that the reality of it is what the SE consensus version of it is. You might as well ask a bunch of fourth grade boys what fake boobs feel like.
