re: SE FAQ, Liveblog, Foodblog, and Forum Discussion

Ok, real quick "cool story bro" time before I go to bed, but basically there's clearly some sort of basic problem emotionally with an 18 year old who spends 75% of their free time posting in the sports section of a poker forum. I've never been too socially graceful (as I imagine is the case with many on here), and I've been kind of messed up since my mom died four years ago. Why am I saying this? Because in just the last few days, I've been really open with my "friends", and wow, what a difference that makes. I know I'll be lifelong friends with two of them and feel more loved right now than I ever have before, while the rest are kind of showing their true colors. You're a bunch of people I don't actually know on the Internet, so if this doesn't shake out it's not a huge deal for me, but basically I respect you guys a lot, and I take the hate harder than I probably should, so if it's just like the cool thing to do right now or whatever, I'd appreciate if we found a new uscpf. Otherwise hate on, but at least tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I'm sure this is sarcastic, but I think I'm over 40 ppd since I found se, and I think my volume is probably part of the problem.

Sorry if this looks like attention whoring or whatever, but it's pretty apparent you guys don't like me, and the quality of the discussion here >>> any other forum, so I'd like to try to stick around, but won't if I'm the village idiot. Don't want to be THAT guy (which it appears I am at this point).
Dunno if you're getting flamed in nfl or mlb threads or something like that, I think ppl have accepted you in the nba threads. The only advice is to stop posting about getting drunk off of smirnoff ice. Leads to teasing. Vodka crans are far more masculine!

Not being a victim here, but I probably (and deservedly so) take more hate/flames/taunts/insults than many other people on 2p2, and it's fine. You need to realize a lot of the time it's just people hurling **** at people. It's what we do on here. It is SOMETIMES personal, but that's rare. A lot of times we're just having fun, making witty banter and venting our pent up nerd rage to like people online. If 2p2 has given me anything, it's a thick skin!

Also look to me as an example. Why do haters hate on me? It's for one of two reasons: 1) they see how amazing, intelligent, gifted and correct I consistently am and try to take me down a level or 2 so they can at least imagine for a day what it's like to be me (which is really a great honor) or 2) they love me and it's the only way they know how to show it. I guess it can be both.

uscpf,

The best way to deal with that sort of stuff is to just ignore and let it be. Just be you, and you will naturally evolve as you gain more life experience.

JOA has actually been offered to be a mod of this forum since then, and he (probably wisely) shot me down. JOA used to be a lot more abrasive in his posting, but has always been one of the best overall posters in this forum.

I don't even think the problem is with uscpf per se as it is that, when you're 17, everything is pretty emo.
