Replace hipsters with idiots and ikes statement is spot on.

And idiots in that context really means residents.

I feel like we had this same yuengling discussion months ago.

It's an Ok/solid beer that is the same price as generally awful beers.

It's a boring lager but I buy a case of it every month or so and have it in my fridge for when the good stuff runs low or I want a change up.

I'd classify myself as a yuengling defender but the fact we keep talking about it must mean its overrated to some extent.

Yeah, Yuengling seems roughly analogous to Shiner Bock down here for those purposes.

You really can't beat a 24 pack of bottles at sams club for $18. I just wish I lived in an area that you can buy it in a store.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Holiday Discussion

If you have never lived in a state where it is sold and only had it when you're on vacation to the east coast or south, the novelty and nostalgia makes it a unique beer. Its a good day when you walk into a bar after a long day of work and see that its sold where you never expected it, which is why I originally posted it.

Shiner Bock has finally made it into this area, and these are my two 'favorite' beers. By which I mean that I don't really like beer. If all the IPAs in the world suddenly exploded I'd be happy

Two random thoughts I had this morning:

1. RIP Craig "Ironhead" Heyward. Creator of one of the GOAT commercials.
2. Today is a great day because Jerry Sandusky is in jail. Here's to many more great days ahead.

I don't like IPAs, but it's not like I'd gain additional satisfaction from them being removed from the world. In fact I'd likely lose some, because some of my friends would be upset.

I like to drink good beer, but IPAs and pale ales really don't do it for me, with rare exceptions.

I love bourbon, scotch, Irish whisky, gin, and plenty of other masculine drinks. Beer has just never done it for me.

This is my go to game watching game at the moment...

Kostritzer German Black Lager. It has some depth and is flavorful yet it still is high in drinkability. I pick it up at my local Total Wine and More. I also must say that TWM is the GOAT alcohol emporium. It's like BevMo but better.
