At least in Colorado you can't buy cooked things on food stamps (maybe a few exceptions, but not fast food).

You can buy Papa Murphy's, though.

from my high school years of working a grocery store in a town right next to an indian reservation, i can tell you that chim is right, no cooked food. food stamps merely eliminate grocery costs (damn, cheetos and frozen burritos sure add up!) and allow people to spend their regular money (or in the native american case, more government money) on cigarettes, entire cases of barton's whiskey, and beer.

buddy worked at a convenience store. They weren't allowed to sell hot pizza to ppl w/ food stamps. But they could sell cold pizza and then offer to heat it up after the customer bought it. lolcopter!!

but how much did you tip the delivery driver?

Not at all, but it's hilarious that he threw this massive fit in the national media for such a minute cost increase. I would pay a lot more than 10 cents per pizza or meal at some other place to make sure the people preparing the food are a lot less likely to be sick.

Meh, it's hard to tell why people are pissed. Facebook was more unreadable than usual the day after that announcement because some people thought he should just eat the cost. People failing to understand how pricing works shouldn't be surprising but it's always disappointing.

I'm not sure what you're saying. The cost isn't bad for us but if he ate it, 11 cents (or 3) adds up over the number of pizzas he sells. Balking at eating that cost (and his pizza) is pretty understandable and not what any other company does like ever.

There are some people who can't resist the urge to politard every chance they get. You and I are not those people.
