Interest on $200 million doesn't even make a blip on the fiscal radar.

That reminds me, my favorite moment from the debates was Romney promising to cut funding for public broadcasting, and then, for some reason, thinking "Hmm, I could spin this as needless bureaucratic waste... or, maybe, nah, let's point out how willing I am to cut a beloved children's program! Nothing gets people on the side of a budget cut quite like humanizing it!"

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Holiday Discussion

Golf forum basically got to the point of, why bother?

It was either bother with BO (put him on ignore) ... then bother with the onslaught of others arguing with BO, and between that and the new randos coming in and trolling about Tiger every week, it got to the point where posting about golf was basically the last thing that was happening in that forum

nxtworldchamp's statistical ownings of BO were hilarious tho

I've said in the past that not getting rid of the randoms lacking posting ability was a mistake on my part. BO and NXT seem to be fine posters when T.ig.e.r W.oo.d.s is left out of the equation, but both go off the wall crazy when a GOAT discussion is sparked by a user with 250 posts instead of merely going about their business.

That being said, just let me know when you want to schedule a golf match, nuts hot.

Oh. Yeah, it's not a coincidence that the people who rage against nitBO are the worst posters in the forum. Note that none of the regs who know the game have an issue with him. He could stand to do less trolling and more ignoring though, but it can be kind of hard when he has phb following him from thread to thread trying to pick a fit like some little yippy poodle.

You could not be more wrong. I played DI golf and have forgotten more about golf then you've ever known. He is, not exaggerating, possibly the worst poster on all of 2+2.

PPA will not succeed in making any legislative impact. not now, not ever. they're simply outmanned and won't ever have the funding required to have any say, especially compared to the opposition. if online poker ever passes it'll be a product of the wishes of higher powers that be (harrahs, mgm, tribes, etc). it's just the way they present themselves as the last champion for ipoker legislation that drives me ****ing insane.

so why keep this up? just to say you're doing it? a mobilization of (at best) tens of thousands of people all over the world to get legislation passed is going to do absolutely nothing. why not change the direction of the organization to focus strictly on smaller matters where they CAN make an impact?
i always lol at the srs biz poker talk on the forum, but isnt the ppa the organization that stole the take action tour logo that mason called out for being a communist signal?

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Holiday Discussion

Riverman, your posts in the golf forum suck ass. They're like 95% "_________ sucks". Like, I don't recall you ever making a single helpful or thoughtful post, maybe you did a long time ago.

Whether you know something or not is meaningless if you're unwilling to share it and instead just ***** and moan, which is basically your M.O. If you stopped posting in that forum (maybe you already have) it would not be a loss. People wouldn't be like "wow, what ever happened to Riverman, I miss all those posts where he bitched about everything nonstop, those were great".

And I seriously doubt you have forgotten more about golf than I have known given my background in the sport but I'm not going to get into some ******ed peen waving contest with you about it.

Yup, this is exactly my point. How Tuq can have such a glaring blind spot on this topic is baffling.

This also astutely summarizes his SE posts
