In a funny way, (totally unintended) I actually understand the argument (I think) he's trying to make. Essentially, saying in internet speak, it's quicker to type "your" rather than "you're" (4 characters vs 6) and since everyone "understands" proper usage, it's irrelevant if the actual spelling is necessary.

I of course don't agree; I rarely, if ever, use "u" or "ur" or other Epipemisms. Generally, I consider it to showcase mild ******ation. Regardless, it isn't my place to critique others who wish to communicate in this fashion.

who the **** are these people that go door to door trying to sell magazines so that they can win a prize or a trip or for a public speaking class or whatever. what the **** is their scam. they make me miss the guy who was selling some cleaning product door to door, and twisted off the top and licked the spray straw to show that it was non-toxic.

Nope, this was the hypermegaelite SE posters game. He had most of the idea in mod chat then we ironed it out a bit. When I woke up he took it up to a whole new, like 8 paragraph, level.
