The restraint I'm showing in this thread is admirable and I'm starting to crack.

The moment when you realize that the thing your cat wants is not food or water or into the room they never get to go in, but just to be picked up is pretty ****ing awesome.

fitzgerald is so ****ing pushy sometimes about getting attention. like, it's not good enough to be laying on top of my arm, he gotta wiggle onto my chest. then the chest isn't good enough, he wants to lay on my neck.

ugh. pushy ****

and **** that, the girl (lucy) doesn't want **** but that mother****ing diced beef and gravy. haha. she likes my wife, but scurries from me. the one time she'll hold her ground and let me pet her is the half second before i'm setting down her bowl.

I've never had a cat tackle me and go into a frenzy trying to lick my face for 5 minutes though. And they don't play fetch or do any other awesome stuff. I'm solidly on the dog side of the spectrum.

Incorrect. Both of these little guys fetch their mice and I taught Manxie to sit on command. Admittedly it takes a lot longer than with dogs since cats aren't remotely as eager to please.

yea my cat vick loved to play fetch. he would even do the typical dog thing of grabbing whatever he wanted you to throw and come drop it in your lap. he was a particularly smart cat though. he ended up with an ex-gf who taught him to use the toilet and walk on a leash.

yea all these special cats are basically on the level of doing things that ******ed dogs can do

the good thing about cats is the lack of need for attention and the independence relative to dogs but it's a double edged sword

although I will say from my experience with little dogs they combine the worst aspects of both animals. Have a ridiculous need for attention and always wanting to be in your lap and are so small that they don't really give a **** if you push them away they will just come back with a vengeance and you can't be too pushy without seriously hurting it like you can with a big dog

One of my parents cats plays "tinfoil ball" (aka fetch) with my Dad. She'll go to the drawer where the balls are kept and whine until he plays.

And while I am obv a cat person and am touched by all the little ways my cats made it clear they missed me after I was gone for 4 days- you only have to watch one of those "Dog freaks the **** out when it's master returns from war" videos to be jealous of dog owners.

If I had the space- my cats would mos def have a big homey in the shape of a Bernese Mountain Dog.

I mean it's pretty clear that dogs>cats (though cats>>tiny dogs)

I'd rather own an animal that would selflessly defend me to the death than an animal that would happily observe a robber stab me in the head and then eat my face afterward

Fair point. But for me a tiny dog (forever tiny ideally) > big dog and possibly > cat. They're just better looking. Big dogs are ugly.

epic phone call from my brother just now...

so my little cousin, he gets a call from his ex-girlfriend that he hasn't talked to in a year.

him and two other guys gotta go get a paternity test because the ex doesn't know whose baby this 8-MONTH OLD GIRL IS. hahahahahahahaaaaaa

and then, he couldn't fade the 2/3, and 2 months ago he finds out the daughter is his.

also, the ex is recently engaged, which basically means the only god-damn reason in the world that she would try to figure out who the dad was is that she trying to get that 18-year monies.

also, little cousin been staying in his mom's apartment that she moved out of a while ago but the lease wasn't up yet. literally nothing in the apt but a bed, electric is off. he's been watching his daughter on sundays for the past 2 months AND HASN'T TOLD ANYONE.

so then, the lease runs up, he has nowhere to go, and ends up moving into his mom's boyfriend's basement with them, AND STILL DOESN'T TELL HIS MOM SHE'S A GRANDMOTHER UNTIL SATURDAY NIGHT AT 10PM.

from what i understand, this is the exact convo:

little cousin: oh hey, tomorrow your granddaughter is gonna come over i have to watch her on sundays.

his mom: ...

little cousin: yeah, she's 8 months old.

his mom: ...

LOOOOOL MY FAMILY. WTFFFF

This is really breed dependent btw (a lot of these stereotypes are), im guessing you didnt even think about little and/or pussy dogs since you dont seem like the person to buy one.

You are correct

It's pretty much inarguable that dogs like this are the god damn nuts

lol ouch

This raises a question though: how many guys could be forced to take the paternity test? Could she have a dozen guys get tested? Could you refuse? Seems like you're getting freerolled there
