so inbetween spraying clean my entire room during the Great Lice Plague of 2012...

i have a dry erase board i hang outside my classroom with a quote or a stat or drawing or something every day, and today i put "presidential debate scoreboard: romney 1, obama 0'.

the principal told me that there were 3 teachers that came to him separately saying that it was a) and i quote, "anti-president obama", and b) "force-feeding the kids".

lol teachers.

p.s. for the record, and to his credit, he didn't ask me to erase it. maybe tomorrow i'll put before and after pinny prices hahaha

haha, that's clearly what it was. the 3 that were the obvious culprits: one has a obama '12 bumper sticker, another went to the obama rally at kent state last week and the third...she's just a fat old bitch.

honestly though, workplace is pretty awesome considering how many women i work with. pretty good ratio of hot to not, and i do a pretty good job of staying out of their cat fighting.

also, i understand the 'stay out of influencing young minds' deal. i'm awesome at NOT doing that in government. that's why i didn't really think twice about putting that on the dry erase today. because honestly in my mind, it doesn't matter who wins.

i've spent time explaining that to my students too. we're a, uhhhh....."working class" city (yeah) and 85% democrat. they all hate republicans but can't tell me why.

first week of school i gave a worksheet saying basically 'check which one you believe in' and it was like 50/50. but when i told them to write at the top of the page which one they thought they were, it was 15:2 democrat.

anyway yeah, riverman nailed me basically. i guess you'll just have to take my word when i say that i'm pretty good at not letting my own biases affect class.
