Stopped caring at the bolding. Ban me or ignore me. I don't use this forum as a way to make think strangers think I'm smart. You get off on that. If anyone in SE hasn't read any of Triumph's OOTV posts, I highly suggest they try it.

You realize a lot of the stuff you're talking about was in ******ed thread with a task of putting together an ESPN top 100 list? That entire joke was a level/troll and tons of people (including yourself) fell for it and I have plenty of witnesses on Skype that new I was doing it the entire time.

Do you think I really gave a **** about a Russel/Wilt discussion? None of us saw them play and it was completely ******ed to discuss it. Sorry if you were old enough to actually be interested in that.

And here's my gripe to every football poster on this site:

A. None of you know a goddamn thing about football. Some of you played to some level, but you know literally nothing about the NFL outside of some clock management situations you might have solved. I don't know a god damn thing about how to analyze NFL players but at least I realize it. You guys are ****ing clueless if you think you can really determine which CB/S/etc is better than another when they aren't even on the screen 90% of the time.

B. None of you do anything but recycle **** you hear other smarter people (and even dumber people ) say. I don't have a single shred respect for any of you. Needle knows his lineman stuff, but besides that the football discussion on this site is worthless.

C. Basketball and baseball stuff here is generally great so at least that's cool.

Seriously though isn't that the MO of this entire forum (well at least basketball and baseball regs). Oh no! Someone thinks Monta Ellis is good at basketball, I will prove them wrong by regurgitating an article of original ideas that someone smarter than me came up with.

lol TuT going off the deep end.

Just because you are one of the dumbest NFL posters doesn't mean everyone else is dumb too. And if we are dumb at least we can sleep well at night knowing our level of ignorance is greatly outweighed by the drivel you have been spewing daily for weeks now.

Lets not discuss anything unless we are experts in the subject or there are substantial peer-reviewed* studies by experts that we agree on so we can all jerk each other off in our circle of objective correctness.

This paragraph alone is absurd. Dude cool it. We get it, you think everyone on here is dumb and knows nothing about a sport that generates a ton of discussion. I have my opinion on this matter and generally I disagree with what you are saying. Either way, this isn't the place to discuss this matter. You are entitled to your opinion but I ask that you do not willingly troll and then justify it by saying you told others you were doing it, that concept blows my mind.

Thanks.

'ignoring' you doesn't work, because you inevitably get someone riled up enough to respond. just post better.

I realize TUt went off the deep end a little with his posts, but you (and Pudge) are woefully wrong here. There's a huge difference between the baseball/basketball analysis and the football analysis on SE. It's largely due to limitations in football metrics and film not being available to us, but a lot of what TUt said is true.

The best analysis in TZ and the MLB threads comes not from regurgitating analysis but researching stats/metrics/whatever and applying them to what you see and the stats that a player accumulates. The application part is key. Iggy will tell you that if you just come into TZ and sort by PER, TS, whatever, that you're going to get laughed at. The problem isn't the metric/statistic, it's the application. Context and the process of applying statistics matter, and it's something that is present in NBA and MLB threads and totally lacking in NFL and CF threads.

There's a reason that the knowledgeable people in NBA and MLB threads have jobs in those leagues and the high profile posters in football consist of vixt, goldenbears, riverman, and mt2r.

mjw: that's not an excuse to start ****ting on threads. just because football analysis is way behind basketball, for reasons that are obvious, doesn't mean that it's not worthy of being discussed at a level above PTI.

mjw my post has nothing to do with the value of TZ discussion/analysis v NFL/cfb discussion/analysis.

I thought it was pretty clear what I was implying and it has nothing to do with overall analysis in the different communities.

What you implied TUt is doingas a "TZ expert" or whatever you said is completely wrong for the reasons I said. This really shouldn't be difficult to understand.
