Yeah, you make more money, but you have to work so much harder for what you do make. More responsibility on your shoulders, more weekends / late nights where not doing it is NOT an option, etc.

Then personally you start moving towards an 'omg I may want wife / house / kids or I'll die sad and alone' mode. AND you can't drink as much, hangovers are ever more hellish and you've stopped feeling generally invincible. You have health insurance / pension / life assurance.

Maybe that's just me mind. lol me. But being 21 was a lot of fun, and being 28 seems an awful lot more complicated imo.

Are you trying to argue that the entire question of whether your early twenties is better than the ~30 mark (or one part of your life being better than another) is solely a question of how you look at either point?

I think from a pure physical standpoint there's definitely a decline. More effort to stay in shape, baldness + grays are a factor for some people.

I think the more commonly held notion is that our dating value increases as we age, because most of us maintain our looks well enough while (usually) making more money and becoming more confident + mature. But I'm pretty sure that we peak physically around age 21 or something.

OTOH it's all downhill for women from age 21 since their dating value is so heavily driven by looks.
