Based on a relatively modest sample, it seems that a lot of people who are big GoT fans would otherwise scoff at LoTR and other fantasy franchise fans. Perhaps it's because of the boobs.

Here are my thoughts on the season finale of Breaking Bad Season 4

Should be able to start tarding up that OOTV thread by the end of the night. Plan to finish all available episodes today despite it cutting into my Bachelor Pad viewing.

I've read some of the BB thread this year and it hasn't seemed that bad, I must have missed the worst parts. One thing I noticed when trying to read it after a couple episodes is the plethora of repeated questions, but I guess ADD and all. Most AIDS part I saw so far was the discussion of the arithmetic of a particular cash distribution, but the thread also produced this sick gem of a gif (MASSIVE SPOILER if you are not up to date on Breaking Bad):

I dunno, but I did some digging and apparently "Rapini sucks ballz" or whatever that account was called was actually BADUU, who was apparently permabanned by Rapini at some point earlier today. So we won't have him to kick around anymore, at least not on that name.

The only part of any Breaking Bad thread I've read was right after the S4 finale and it was remarkable how many people bitched about that scene. Like apparently they don't realize the whole series is rooted in absurdity, that it has a strong element of dark comedy, and that should be perfectly fine for the producers to take liberties from time to time. But no, they bitched about it. On the plus side the nits will hopefully prevent me from returning to the thread in the future.

Yes- limited by number of posts and join date. It's appeal is less that it's cleans up posts and more that it's way faster than the usual way, which involves logging into a separate control panel and copy/pasting names.

But I figured out a while ago that if you delete posts "as spam" it gives you an option to ban/temp ban without logging into the mod CP, which is really nice.

Potentially interesting tidbit: There's currently only two temp banned posters who aren't that way of their own request. (there's a couple people where they're banned for like 500 days because apparently some mods don't know how to permaban- but I'm not counting them).

Massively, incomprehensibly terrible/tl;dr article up on ESPN's front page right now for anyone fascinated by train wrecks. Even ESPN commenters (hardly the most literate folk) are trashing it.

Bonus:

NVG generates way fewer temp bans than you'd expect. SE/Politics/OOT tend to dominate the legit temp banned poster list (ATF really does with self-requested bans).

I think that's because they had out infractions instead of just banning people, which is like Ukraine style weak.
