I think a fair cliffs is that either Mason believes that a junior senator from the minority party who is only in the senate to serve out the term of a retiree has more influence over the issue of online poker than any single senator has over any other issue. Or he just wants to elect republicans* and is camouflaging this in the most laughable way possible.
* which is fine, but endorsing a guy over an opponent who ACTUALLY VOTED AGAINST UIGEA on the basis that he's good for poker (and claiming that's the only reason) just insulting people's intelligence.
