Compare with a couple of years ago when SE was the 9th busiest forum and had around 1/3 the posts it does now:

Large growth plus the forum is probably cleaner now than it was then.

It's amazing how well some very simple rules and improved readability helped things.

What's really amazing is that July is a very slow period for us.

I'd be interested in seeing the long term effects of the two new subforums (particularly the team thread subforum) on overall SE traffic. That will be a little more difficult to isolate.

Still, great job mods!

Right when I regged more or less is when it seemed to crest (maybe it's my fault). If you look at it, in Q1 2006 it had more than twice the posts of the next forum. I suppose there are a number of factors it isn't anymore, presumably the proliferation of split-off forums likely being the main reason.

Anyway you guys can stop the constant asking for links in the UFC/Boxing threads under rule 1?

1. No posting links to illegal/pirated/unpaid for video streams. This includes NFL, UFC, etc. This is 2+2 policy so there's nothing to be done about it.

Every thread that should be talking about the fights turns into every scumbag cheapskate looking for PMs for links.

You're right and thanks. I have edited that and the Erin Andrews thread titles to sufficiently warn people. If a simple post is made it will get buried but as part of the title it is expected to be heeded.
