I realize Olympics is an absolutely huge deal, the broadcast rights costs in the U.S. are insane (and presumably a massive loss leader gamble by NBC). Nobody is saying it isn't.

i really dont care that much or get excited about the olympics.

i get into certain stories if they are cool, but overall whatever. the olympics are to sports what the UN is to world peace.

the phelps stuff and all that is fun tho.

so my ****ing luck, a god damn HUGE storm rolls through here at like noon, tornado sirens going off, wife keeps coming up to try to get me to sleep in the basement. just let me sleep woman, no tornado is gonna blow the top of our house off.

i'll admit though, it was vicious out there for a minute.

plus, i'd really like to think that if a tornado actually did come through, i'd figure out a way to get to the basement, you know? like, i'm gonna f'in know that the roof is gonna come off. and how long would it really take me if i'm thinking i'm gonna die if i don't get to the basement? 5 seconds? meh.

usually when those sirens go off i'm snap going outside and looking around. i just needed another couple hours of sleep this time.
