Is Cedar Rapids the one featuring Clay Davis from that hit HBO show "The Wire"?

I wanted to see it just for that.

To me, those were the worst parts of the movie. (the parts where he references the Wire). Just not funny at all and painfully executed.

When I mentioned it, I didn't mean it's a GOAT or anything, just that in all the mostly avg movies were talking about it might be better than that. It kinda has the Horrible Bosses problem in that like T36 mentioned, given the cast it should be a lot better.

According to something I read about that movie, those lines were in the script before Isiah Whitlock got the part. It's funny that they might've worked better coming from a A: white guy and B: someone who wasn't on The Wire.

Needle,

If you don't like Family Guy, why in the hell did you go see Ted? The marketing of the movie made it pretty damn clear what kind of movie to expect, no?

Reminds me of a story my friend told me about seeing Brokeback Mountain in the theater and at the first man love scene a random redneck dude with his gf just shouted out 'WTF is this gay ****?'
Pretty hilarious to think that he somehow had no idea what the movie was about and was just expecting some good ol' cowboy movie or something.

Just seems like there's some much more companionship with dogs....that and your house won't smell.
I've had cats and dog, and dogs definitely seem more appropriate for younger kids. Kittens are cute, but cats aren't always very social as they get older (males are more social usually, especially after getting fixed). Otoh, they don't demand attention like dogs. They don't have to be walked, or let out to use the bathroom, or want attention of all of the time, or need baths. Never thought I would like cats growing up, and always had dogs, but they are great.

Sorry to hear about your cat Bobby. I know how you feel about the cost. Spent $700 last year just for a blood transfusion for one of mine.

Meh, I don't feel "bad" about it now, it was a solid movie, but I guess disappointed is the right word.

After a few days I certainly don't feel better about it. Decent enough and worth watching but have no interest in seeing again.

Well...theres a few things. It was an "R" movie and I was that I might enjoy an "R" rated family guy(though in FG I usually laugh at the Brian, Stewie and Chris stuff, its the Peter stuff that I find meh). And like I said, I find just about anything funny.

But, yeah...I guess really I just went and saw it because I already saw TDKR and Moonrise Kingdom and that was the only two movies I had interest in and this was just something to do because it allowed me to get out of the heat for a couple hours.

This happens all the times on movie posters. Not really sure why. Just remember that I used to go to the movies alot and as I walked past the posters I started noticing that the face/person above the name was usually not the person. Then I started actively looking for posters where they weren't reversed and it was really hard to find them.
