Mickey Mantle was forced to switch hit by his dad. At an all star game or whatever he wasn't feeling it from the other side of the plate and stopped switch hitting for that day. Mutt beat him senseless.

I'd say most switch hitters are the product of obsessed parents.

i'm teaching my nephew to switch-hit. his dad is a good guy but not at all a sports person and his son is the #3 hitter on the best out of 2 all star teams.

i just like going to the field a little before dusk and playing with him. he hits left-handed but throws and writes right-handed. we started messing around one night and now he wants to hit right-handed too. *shrug*

basically he gets about 30-45 minutes of me pitching to him, then i get about 10 balls thrown to me (he's about 20 feet to my right off the mound just in case i hit one back at him) and i get to hit like 9/10 balls about 100 feet over the fence.

win/win imo.

decided to go to a casino with a couple friends for the all star game. went to holdem bonus and asked if i could play 2 hands. they say yes but you have to play 1 blind. so i decided to play 3 and play them all blind

first hand:

board is 4 tens and an ace. chopped every bet but trips which paid 30:1

additional brag:

decided to just keep playing 3 hands blind til i lost all 3 at once or 2 twice in a row. 4 hands later the dealer has a straight and i'm resigned to my fate, then the 2nd hand i have he flips straight flush:

another 1500 or so. but i lost the other 2 so i left like a coward
