if subforums were able to be applied to the sidebar, i'd have no problem with the change. or even make the forums that have subforums expandable, so the subforums can be layered but still be seen if desired. maybe i use the sidebar more than most, i dunno.

fwiw I wasn't involved in the decision except that I didn't have a problem with it, but I still never get the click complaints. Most other forums don't have such an extensive side menu at all. So with that and the jump menu at the bottom, which does contain subs, it never seems all that clicky to me. Using forum bookmarks can be even faster too.

I mean, many of you guys have used ebay and amazon at one point or another, yeah?

Stop crying about the extra click and put a bookmark of the sub forum on the top of your firefox/chrome browser if you go there that often.

Re: New Subforums: Team-Specific Season Threads and Fantasy Sports

I'm not a fan of the sub-forums because I usually just browse the first few pages of SE to see threads I'm interested in rather than seeking out specific threads. It's not terrible I just think the other way is better.

The fantasy sports subforum is awful. Sports don't overlap very much so there are 2 threads at most on it at any given time.

How about the seven different threads that have been posted in over the last two hours? Do you try to be as wrong as possible every time you post? It seems like it.

Also, it's <24 hours since the change so everyone that complains at this point is not to be taken seriously.

I'm just barely annoyed enough by this change to post in this thread.

Done.

bad timing. wait until people are doing drafts, which'll kick off soon.

Re: New Subforums: Team-Specific Season Threads and Fantasy Sports

Props to Clark or Tuq or whoever came up with this idea and actually put it into play. I love it. I think its a great idea. Everything is more organized, and Im ok with making the extra click if I wanna see troll filled mega threads for the Sox and Yanks! Or wanna browse through the fantastic Fantasy Sports forum!

Sooo much easier to navigate through SE now. Fantasy Sports, great idea! Team Threads, great idea! Aside from wasting a massive mili-second of my life making the extra click, I think Im going to be ok.

Re: New Subforums: Team-Specific Season Threads and Fantasy Sports

Part of why we timed it like this was that it would give us all time to get used to it before the onslaught of fantasy football and NFL team threads, which will obviously be overlapping with the stretch run in MLB. Hopefully it works. If not, we can always go back.

Should modern era draft/auction type threads go in the fantasy sports section?

Oh and great idea overall. I think the fantasy sports talk here will improve 10x due to this because now you can start more specific fantasy sports related threads.

For now I think main forum is ok. They seem to get a decent amount of casual traffic, plus for the interest threads they really need to be on main page. We can see how it goes.

there should really be a fantasy fantasy sports draft/auction... meaning composed of fictional athletes. like i just can't stop thinking when one of the mighty ducks will be chosen in the hockey draft that would be awesomee

he's a 23 year old guy from new york city. has lived there his whole life.

his teams:

Football: Dallas Cowboys

Baseball: NY Yankees

Basketball: San Antonio Spurs

Hockey: Pittsburgh Penguins

Soccer: Portugal (he's American)

College Basketball: Duke

is he a bandwaggon fan solely for liking these teams? I mean the Cowboys haven't done **** for a while, nor have the yankees or portugal. But since he is from NY, yeah he does sound like one.
