see, i know that's halfway a joke, but the issue is all the houses around us.

when i was younger, one 4th i had like 20 quarter sticks. and these are the real, handmade ones. they're not loud they're LOUD. if you set it on the grass you have yourself a small, burnt-out hole.

in my older age, i'm a little paranoid to even light those around my house. we did a few outside a bar where the owner was fine with it last year (also nearby a river so we could just kinda toss them down there).

but a full stick?

maaan. the younger me is mocking the older me right now, but i don't think i can do it.

yeah, we'd have to go to the south side of youngstown. haha, def not home depot.

still kicking it over, i just can't figure a place to light it. you'd literally think a house exploded. the entire city would/will hear it.

like, i think if i lit it tomorrow night around 10pm when everyone is lighting stuff it could work, but it'd probably shut off the street lights or worse, crack a window.

and i don't really know any country-type places to go..

wish he just had some quarter-sticks..

this is not something to just light in your backyard. you will have neighbors outside wondering wtf just exploded.

i've lit half sticks at a park. the softball lights blinked and how high are they? at least 100 feet right?

like i said, i don't think i have it in me anymore to get a full stick. well, maybe to own one would be cool, could throw it in the firesafe just to have, but i don't know where i'd ever be able to light it and they go bad after a while..

ianade but if this is actual nitroglycerin based dynamite can't you just cut it into four pieces? i suppose you'd need more blasting caps but if you can get dynamite you can probably get blasting caps.

When I was young my father once bluffed his way into a hotel upgrade and comp when he blew up an M80 on a toilet seat, which caused the toilet to break into multiple pieces. In trying to put it back together he cut himself and was bleeding all over the bathroom. Being the con man that he is he decided to play victim, calling the front desk and saying that on his way out of the shower he slipped, tried to grab the toilet for support, and it shattered and cut his hand. They gave him some sort of suite upstairs for free if he promised not to take any legal action.

i live in a city, i'm sure i could find somewhere to light it, but like i said, seems like a lot of work + bad potential just to hear a loud boom.

yeah, my 'dynamite guy' is awesome. looks just like kimbo slice (i mean like, JUST like him), his wife split a lottery 12 ways with work people (they got like 2.8ish after taxes/split) and he still lives in the same house in the GD ghetto with the same hole in the kitchen ceiling that he's been trying to fix since last fall.

just called him and told him i'd swing by in a bit, but i prob wasn't going the full ****** route.
