It's always remarkable when people want kudos for not stealing something which doesn't belong to them. Or at least I think that's where you are going with the "bunch of $50s I could have just taken if I wasn't a super good person who is ripe for good karma" part.

Yes on the first part.
On the second I'm going to side with the 0% and say that ranch = blue cheese. Both are fine with me. People debate those two like they debate cats and dogs, like it's mandatory that a side be picked.
It's very regional though, to the point where blue cheese out here is considered some sort of gourmet option (lol) that you don't see much except at high-end places. For that reason I order it when it's an option, which isn't often. Obviously you can't discuss this with people from Buffalo though, just like you can't talk ketchup on hot dogs with people from Chicago even though it's a totally reasonable condiment.
Also, agree w/kidcolin that sometimes nothing at all is the best.
