That's fair. I have no problem dinging Da Vinci, but someone like Euclid or Newton who basically invented, discovered or formalized a basic building block, that's not nebulous to my mind.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Forum Discussion

Not to speak for RT, but by "early guys" I generally think along the lines of Socrates, Aristotle, Ptolemy, etc etc.

I mean, if we're going to judge solely based on how much was built off their work, then Aristotle or Socrates or someone is like the greatest human being of all time. Which is clearly not true. We have to evaluate the sheer brilliance of the work too, which is why Einstein should get a ton of credit. It's one thing to describe the world around you (not trying to knock Newton!), but to introduce a radical, totally abstract idea that turns everything we know about the universe on its head, and then have its predictions being shown to be true - that's mind-blowing in its own right.

I'm down to do another draft, but scientists? Are you all a bunch of nerds?

I didn't argue with that. Newton was my #1 br0.

Right, I don't give a ton of credit to what came from your work. It's obv important but I'd prefer to judge their discoveries/inventions/theories on their own.

That's obv going to be hard since you're basically asking "Which is more important Newton's theory of gravity in 1680 or Einstein's Theory of General Relativity in 1930".

in my limited experience, yes. You literally bury pieces of potato and then a couple months later, dig up 5x as many as you planted.

I assume we're talking about unearthing the potato, rinsing it off, and munching down. Any other steps?

So if the science one won't take off, how about drafting companies off of sector categories.

I'd def be in this. Have the feeling it won't get off the ground here and you are going to have to take it to BFI though.

I like to peel them, cut them into slices, soak them a little in water, and then put some salt on them.

Being sick in a foreign country sucks balls. Damn you Brits and your off brand medicine.

That said, the rest of your country has been delightful.
