Deadwood was a GOAT level show that got killed off too soon to really make a strong case for GOAT.

Deadwood every bit as good as the Wire IMO, but its run was too short to be put on that level.

Rome is very good but should probably be knocked a couple pegs lower for bringing on the financial troubles at HBO that ended up killing Deadwood.

Entourage just sucks. Even its proponents will tell you to just quit watching it halfway through, which should be a pretty big red flag. It belongs on this list about as much as 2 and a Half Men does.

rome is worth watching, esp the first season, but i think its pretty overrated and doesnt belong near the discussion of the rest of those shows. i have a bit of roman history study so mebbe im a bit too harsh.
