Most efficient way to transfer hard drive data from an old computer to a new one? Mostly photos, some office type stuff, and maybe crap like web browser settings/bookmarks.

what is the time frame you are looking for? does it take that long to upload and download stuff from cloud sites? what is ur price range? can easily find a terrabyte external hard drive to load up for like a hundo i think.

Yea, I used this during one of the few periods where I could get my old netbook to power up to transfer all my school stuff to the new netbook. Worked great. Easy peasy.

Edit: I see you mentioned this, but I found it real easy to only move over the information I wanted using Windows Easy Transfer without dumping the whole C: drive.
