yes because 1) more people watch the nfl 2) there are only four games a weekend instead of 8 series going on at the same time and 3) the thread is up for a weekend and not for a three week series

hate to say it but im gonna have to side with fig guy on this one

its nice having all the playoff talk in one thread, so when im watching one game i get an idea of whats going on in the other games without needing to move around between threads.

although if there's another wangz-sharks series that should get its own containment thread for everyone's sake

so you live past the first week and a half, and then its down to 4 series. it really bothers you that much to have different threads? it's a SE forum, why aren't you complaining about stupid drafts and WW games and all that?

most people on this forum don't watch soccer yet there are 3 threads on the front page about soccer.

Agreed, but I think the hockey people should decide. There's a thread for every NBA series. Historically it's been conference threads, not sure why the change this year.

You underestimate the number of people who watch soccer. Technically "most" is correct, but the soccer threads are possibly the most substantial in the forum.

It was amazing. I had an incredible situation sitting with some owners, so I had incredible access (I stood a few feet from Sheikh Mohammed on two occassions). But the city is incredible, the track is insane - you can't even describe it, the whole place is mind blowing. Very good trip excluding the race, the race was a top-5 sporting event moment in my life. No mean feat considering I've seen the St. Louis Cardinals clinch 3 different World Series titles in person in my lifetime, and I was at one with my Dad, one with my Grandma, and one with Dad/Mom/Grandma/Wife (last year).

I'll get something done.

Yeah, it looks like it would be amazing though I think they got it horribly wrong running the Gold Cup again after the accident in the original running.

That was the single most obnoxious showboating I can recall in any sport. Not hating on it, just saying, man, I think that was the GOAT showboat.

We were right behind the owner lady of the horse who broke down the 2nd time they ran that race. She was inconsolably balling. So sad, really devastating.
