I decided to skip the politics forum and hit up STORMFRONT to see their takes on the whole Trayvon killing. It's, uh, different.

I think I actually get more annoyed reading the politics forum here than I do by over the top racism on the internet.

somebody linked a site in H&F that has an entire forum dedicated to the Trayvon Martin incident, 200+ threads. these guys make Stormfront look like FlyWf.

They auto-renew your insider account even if you've paid for multiple years of the magazine, just fyi.

i was pretty surprised at the 2p2 take. seemed pretty racist to me. i tried to troll it with over the top support of the blasting but as hard i as i tried it sounded really mundane compared to the rest.

1.

2.

3. After this season, Toronto will be the only NHL team to not have qualified for post season play since the lockout ('04-'05)

4. Toronto has historically choked during Jan-Feb when the games mattered, yet go on meaningless little win streaks at the very end of the season which self-sabotages their chances at securing potential franchise-level draft talent (arguably some degree of consolation).

5. Last year, they did in fact finish 2nd worst in the whole league. Problem is, their draft pick was owned by Boston.

In sum,

lol leafs

ETA: point 5 wasn't last year, but still.

Speaking of LOL CANADA and the failure of the Leafs, does anyone have my dad beat for most depressed sports fan given the teams he roots for? (He was born in Toronto, Ontario)

Hockey: Toronto Maple Leafs
Baseball: Cleveland Indians
Football: Cleveland Browns
Basketball: Cleveland Cavaliers
CBB: No strong rooting interest, somewhat favors the Syracuse Orange
CFB: No strong rooting interest

I think he has the WOAT realistic pro team combination, unless you could swap the Cubs in there I guess.

always thought Vancouver/Seattle had a good shout for that:

Hockey: Vancouver Canucks (have been mostly terrible expect for the last 5-10 years, never won a title)
Baseball: Seattle Mariners (have had some good years, but are now terrible again, no titles)
Football: Seattle Seahawks (have been awful a lot but sometimes win bad division, no titles, Stealersref.jpg)
Basketball: Vancouver Grizzlies (for real one of the WOAT teams, moved to Memphis) / Seattle Sonics (had a lot of mediocre years, won the title in 1979, moved to OKC)
CBB: Washington Huskies (LOLPAC12, no titles afaik)
CFB: Washington Huskies (LOLPAC12, kinda maybe won NC's 1960, 1984, and co-won in 1990)

basically the only titles won by teams i even kinda sorta support are the Blue Jays in the 90's (but i'm not even a big baseball fan, or a Jays fan really). oh and i kinda liked the Expos too and they moved to Washington, DC. and the Sonics who the 1979 title in the dark ages of basketball, before i was born. sweet! (oh and Chelsea Football Club has won some stuff, but i'm not considered a real fan anyway, and lol soccer amirite?)

I've got a Seattle friend that I can end any argument with by saying one word, usually "Sonics" or "Oklahoma" or just "basketball."

What an odd mix. Buffalo/Houston/Pittsburgh

How did you end up with Pitt and not Syracuse?
Sporting Events FAQ, Liveblog, and BANGERS Quote

Because I went to Pitt. lolSyr besides communication. Moved from Houston to WNY in 2000. Buffalo teams are sports Houston didn't have.

The other list seems much worse, mainly because rapelisburger has RAANGZ.

Rockets were pretty good in the mid 90s.
