If you were on top when he gave you the infraction, I think you probably deserved it

I'm just confused how anyone could get infracted by posting in politics. I mean I would assume that would require either getting so intense arguing with idiots that you threaten them or you manage to post something even more moronic than the average politard.

EDIT: Or I guess you find amusement in trolling people who argue politics on a poker forum.

Getting infracted in politards is very easy. Its one of the more heavily moderated forums on 2p2

i dunno what's funnier: the fact that mason malmuth has a twitter account or the fact that over 300 people actually follow it

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Forum Discussion

i love talking about politics, debating it, studying it, whatever. it's what i want to do.

and i wont even go near that forum. i went there for like a day and instantly regretted it. i go there like 1 day every year and just nearly avoid killing myself on the way out.

You get about 40% if you take it all in one payment.

Even the Bucks are worth more than $250mm, and you can't get credit on Lottery winnings.

And outside of Harlabos, who else would you hire from 2p2?

more like 70%. Its based on the present value of 26 annuitized payments which seems to be calculated at the depressed long term treasury rates. you'd be looking at at least $250 million post tax if you win alone which seems solid. If we have a favorable market and you invest at least 90% of it you could reasonable expect to have a bliion in 20 years after paying all taxes on gains. I think this is relatively conservative and includes no great business ventures but just a market rate of return in anything but a dead market.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Forum Discussion

The local news (Bflo NY, might be diff in diff states) said a person would get $200mm (when it was $500mm) or about 40% after taxes.

I also saw this show called 'lottery changed my life' and people who were taking lump sums were getting a lot less than 50% after taxes. (none of the winners were anywhere near this amount. mostly like 10mm or less, though)
