mad men is easily the best show in tv and though not dispositive if you don't like it you almost certainly have horrible taste in tv shows

I can't think of a post dude's made that hasn't served to diminish my opinion of him. (nor does he really ever post outside of his own self interest- which is totally understandable, but it's not like people are getting consistent poker insight from the guy).

i agree with some of this. every DN post i see seems pretty bad and makes me think the guy's a buffoon

still, to say he doesn't bring traffic to the forum is probably wrong. look at the name players who post here like durrr, gandolf, raymer, moneymaker, or whoever else. they don't interact with teh public at large, they simply post within their small subsection on a largely infrequent basis

not only is DN the biggest name in poker, he's the only one of the name players who actively engages with the average NVG railtard, and i would imagine there are more than a few people who lurk 2+2 reading threads in NVG who started an account just to attempt to interact with him

Really? I enjoy reading his posts. Obviously he isn't some eloquent posting genius who leaves me hanging on every word but I appreciate his candor. He is at the absolute center of the poker universe and I think its cool he posts on this site. It strikes me as a standup thing to do.

The responses to him are usually god awful which takes away from it, but my opinion of him has gone up from reading his posts. Just imo.

Only watched the first 3 but I knew straight away it wasn't for me. Im not even sure what or if any channel has picked it up over here. Haven't seen it advertised or in any of the TV listings so not sure if it's a big hit or not.

Edit:- Seems Sky bought it from BBC4 and are showing it on Sky Atlantic. News to me.

While the tv talk is still fairly recent, I'm watching Homicide: Life on the streets, again. Someone mentioned it in the movies/tv thread, so I purchased the series.

Recommend it.
