I don't think SirO ever posted on the Jetto account but like I said, I can't disagree with Chilltown's list.

Have always thought the site could do a lot more with creative use of the censor and custom word replacements. Like if every time somebody said "Jetto" is just turned into "Bitchface In Clown Shoes" or something.

Some people also get banned, and want to still be able to read what other smart people are discussing, and don't have enough time/effort/depravity to create an account called "jetto" just so they can troll everyone and be a part of the community illegitimately in the process.

I'm dealing with this now, so it's on my mind. I'm going to be perma'd soon, and I assume I won't be able to not read a lot of the SE threads I post in currently, at least for a long while. I'd be surprised if I didn't eventually get back to reality and extricate myself completely at some point though. Similar to all the orig 2p2ers who used to post here when they played poker, but as their playing dwindled, so did their posting, and eventually terminated both. Should be an interesting experiment to see anyway.

It's entirely possible that DeBeers was simply wrong place, wrong time with the wrong posting style. He had all of 100 posts. BFD, start over if legit and play nice enough that no one cares who the eff you are.

To be fair, I think you do a hell of a job and I don't disagree with many of your modding decisions. But I would much rather read posts from confrontational smart people than bland mediocrities, and chasing away new posters because they ruffle a few feathers seems like a poor strategy.

I started reading 2+2 sometime around 2003, on and off.

Lurked for well over 3 and a half years before finally registering at the very end of 2006. But between 2003 and mid-2008, I know I didn't read as much of 2+2 as I have over the last 3 and a half years. And I might be reverting back to more lurking this year simply due to my current life situation, where unfortunately I wont have as much free time to follow sports/post on 2+2. I might not even have as much time to read 2+2, period. That's just how life is sometimes.

I think high-volume posters sometimes underestimate just how many lurkers/low volume posters/occasional readers are out there. They are the vast majority, AINEC.
