Witnesses said like 3 students tackled and held the guy because he was outrunning the "security" guards. Plus that cheese guy has a picture of him in the back of the squad car, so he was either involved or waiting to be interviewed.

CDL, the issue is that the Quarter and surrounding areas is where most people spend a large chunk of time.

Barcelona is brilliant......they hose down the whole Ramblas area (about 3 square miles) every single night. And it's necessary because people urinate in the streets/alleys on the regular. But it is super effective and really improves a reasonably similar scene.

Downtown ATL blows. People should research before staying there. The surrounding neighborhoods to actual downtown are so much better

These people should venture out then. Lots of great places in New Orleans outside the quarter and even the stuff three blocks off Bourbon is clean for a major city. Its literally a 8x4 block area that is dirty from my experience.

this. Just because it is called "downtown" does not mean it is the central area you would want to be in for food, nightlife, or hotel accomodations.

Hosing down the Quarter overnight is legit genius. Actually, go ahead and make it, like, the whole city. At least for the first month.

New Orleans is a lot bigger than just the french quarter, and to me, uptown >>>> french quarter on a day to day basis.

Obviously i'm an expert because i've spent 5 days there and I'm moving to new orleans this summer.

This "Accidental Racist" song is offensively bad, and I say this as someone who usually likes Brad Paisley songs.

For big events NYC can be either great or horrible depending on what event it is. Anything at the Meadowlands is pure AIDS, anything in the city is great (which pretty much limits it to anything at MSG, which is concerts and NBA/NHL playoff games).

Similarly, Boston is a great city but anything at Foxboro isn't really in Boston and transportation is such a mess that it takes too much out of it.

What makes a great sporting even destination (FF, Super Bowl) is a real city with great hotels and dining AND a good venue within walking distance of the hotels, bars and restaurants. This is likely why New Orleans keeps getting tagged as the GOAT despite generally being disgusting.

Yeah downtown atl is pretty bad.

I spent most of my drinking time in midtown. Didn't get up to buck head unfortunately.

And good weather. LOL NFL. Meadowlands has got to be like the WOAT location for the SB.

Great neutral site destination comes down to:

Quality of bars/nightlife/food
Proximity of those in relation to sporting venue
Proximity of hotels to the above things
Ease of transport around city (public transport or taxi availability)
Weather
Safety
Cool things to go do and see that don't involve drinking or eating
Friendliness of locals

Or, if your city has generally ****ty weather in Feb., have some sick run good and bink a 50-60 degree week at exactly the right time.

I would not argue with someone that puts Finding Nemo in their top 10 OAT, pure entertainment no matter how many times I watch it.

it's not like he walked up to a line of 14 people and stabbed them while they all stood there and let him. it seems like he was running all over the campus stabbing people.
