Someone on my Facebook goin hard at Thatcher

"Looks like Margaret Thatcher's heart finally stopped. Which is only surprising because I didn't know she had one."

wouldn't crack the top 20 most hateful things said about her on my fb feed today

for example,

Dunno, I take a lot of pictures now and really enjoy being able to look back at them. I took almost no photos from the time I was in high school through my early 30's and I really regret it. Basically, I think the idea that taking photos means you somehow *aren't* being in the moment and enjoying it is kinda silly. If anything, it's a sign of appreciating it.

My mom takes at least a hundred pictures with her IPhone every gathering, never looks at them, then has me transfer them to the comp when her IPhone runs out of space so she can do it again.

Yeah, video of a concert is overkill, as are 100s of photos per event. But I pretty regularly take like 1-2 shots at any event where I'm like.....yeah....it's pretty cool to be alive and doing this right now.

Nothing wrong with taking a few pictures. But girls seem to find any random night out on the town as a good reason to take 50-100 pictures. Don't get it

I am so picture averse that I didn't even take a camera overseas when I went to Europe for a few weeks. In retrospect it was a terrible mistake but fortunately it was easy to just get the girls who went to tag me in every photo so I had some. Not near as good as the originals though.

Yeah, this is more what I meant, I guess. But also do have an irrational dislike of taking pictures compared to how I see myself wanting them in the future. Clark's point registers.

i mean yea if you reminicse about them on your own. I think hes saying its troublesome that everybody feels the need to share how "in the moment" they actually are and are doing it solely for attention.

Shawshank is awesome. Departed isn't overrated IRL IMO, just seems that way because of all the overly vocal BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHSTON people.

Departed definitely overrated among the early-20s crowd, ime. Probably true of pretty much all the combination "watchable-and-cool-and-widely-acclaimed" movies, though. "Loving" The Departed or Inception a pretty safe choice.
