I can buy that. I have not read the books and have very little interest in the setting, but if it's well made, it's got to at least be good.

I will see/read GoT when the author has actually finished the series.

Clark I'm not even trying to make an old joke when I say you/he may die before that happens. Dude writes at the pace of a snail and is not in the best of health.

why? recent GOATish tv shows that the last seasons are generally weak compared to the juicy middle. Don't think very many people that watch GoT would say it isn't amongst the top few shows and watching while it's airing obviously has fun benefits.

And that's ok.

Funny that WoT was linked above. That's the series that made me implement my "only when it's finished" philosophy............in 1998! [1]

[1] I assume most know the author eventually died a few years ago and the series apparently wasn't completed until like 2 months ago.

I just finished season one. It's highly entertaining and clearly very well made, not sure really what else there is to say. It's an incredibly easy show to marathon, time just flies by, which is something I can't say for a lot of shows, and if I don't marathon a show, I tend to forget about it and stop watching. Like the Sopranos, I started that back around Christmas and still haven't finished season 2, just cannot watch more than an episode at a time to save my life.

it's alright just means you have a real life to attend to

also i'm highly skeptical the author will finish the next book before croaking let alone the series. Plus i will prob have to reread them like 4 times just to understand the ridiculous amount of plots and characters in the last couple books. I have zero clue how people like PHIL can keep track of all the history in the book spoilers discussion thread

That's why I stopped WoT. Always had to re-read prior books to keep pace. Didn't have the time. Plus, the series was publicly said to be 8 books, then it became apparent that couldn't possibly happen, then the mention of 8 books vanished, the plot started meandering randomly with no purpose than to show us new areas of the world and that was that for me.

Is mellow mushroom any good? There's one about 10 minutes from me but I've never had the urge to go. I have heard mixed reviews.

the sopranos is the most worthy marathon candidate of all time. Never heard anything to the contrary before.

Depends how many dining/pizza options you have. If you're in Pizza Hut land, sure, give it a try.

Mellow Mushroom is nothing special other than the different options or larger selection of everything they offer compared to all the other chains.
