Veronica Mars is pretty good. It's not in the top tier with The Wire, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Deadwood, et. al, but it's a fun watch. A good show to watch with a girlfriend.

I watched the 1st season of Girls with my wife recently. HBO shows are awesome, so I am giving it a shot. Pretty decent for a chick show. Better/worse than Veronica Mars?

i'd say it appeals to both men and women. it's not gossip girl or anything. it's not any more of a chick show than like buffy the vampire slayer.

Those are two totally different shows in about every way possible aside from the title.
