Height is probably the #1 most important factor for male attractiveness, but it's also not the deal breaker many want to make it out to be if you're short. Speaking from personal experience, just go for shorter girls and don't act like a ****ing awkward insecure sperglord about it and you'll be fine. Also, lift heavy weights.

Height matters, but don't turn it into an excuse for why you're not getting laid.

Yeah I'm pretty much never answering a midnight knock on the door. It's either crap like that or ugonnagetraped.jpg

Surprising that you play soccer with girls.

Need to work on my fitness because I play goalie all the time, but unless you guys play in a really serious league I have enough foot skills to do fine.

Pretty hilarious that Bobbo makes a "omg I'm about to start GoT, fortunately I haven't rly ran into any spoilers on teh internets" post, then makes this thread absolutely unreadable for somebody in his shoes as of not even a week ago since spoilers are broken on the mobile app

A co-ed league with no specific rules seems pretty ****ty for the actual girls. League I play in goes way in the other direction. Guys can't pressure girls until they're across midfield, and, in order to legally score, a girl has to touch the ball in front of midfield on the possession. Female goals being worth 2 seems nice but probably still makes playing ~all guys hugely advantageous.

Indoor soccer GOAT, though. Co-ed leagues just a nice bonus on top of whatever men's team/s I'm playing with.

What's the breakeven # for girl goals where playing all guys is no longer profitable? Like 5?

I ****ing hate indoor soccer. That may be a function of being a goalie though. Indoor is rough on us keepers.

Depends on the relative quality of girls. I've played on teams where a girl goal would be a miracle, and I've played with a d3 national goalscoring leader who was just as capable as most of the guys at scoring.

Depends a ton on the level of play. Making girls' goals worth 5 probably makes the ex-college-soccer girls too dominant.

Ideal solution is definitely just play normal with a set number of girls required. 4 girls on the field minimum, 7 guys fill in, and play.

Yeah there are a couple other teams with one girl, but that's it. Those girls probably love playing us.

Hit 4 last night in a 8-5 win, including a beauty. Faked to trap a long ball forward with a man on my back, let it hit off the curved section of the wall by the goal, spun the defender (left for dead by the fake/ricochet/spin), and volleyed home off the pole in the back corner of the goal. /csb

Have always loved playing indoor keeper. The goals at the closest indoor facility are pretty small, too, which may help. Still, a lot more fun to be facing a ton of shots imo.

The number of shots are fine. The problem is that there's a lot more contact with *******s coming in late. I routinely have to drop 2-3 guys a session hard in self defense.

when i was 8 i was a rising star in the charlotte youth soccer scene. i remember three specific events playing soccer over the past 15 years

1. an incredible free kick goal my second year playing. the referee actually told me as he spotted the ball and backed up the opposing wall "kick it over their heads and you score". i tried to crush it into some kids face but miraculously it went over, curved left a bit and straight into the net. couldnt do it again.

2. next season, last game of the year. we get awarded a penalty in the last minute of a game down 1. i step up, strike it well and it smashes off the crossbar. lost all confidence and didnt play again until

3. intramurals senior year. we had never player soccer but had a couple pledges who were big high school players that convinced us to register. team was those three stars and then eight of us with no years of soccer experience over age twelve. i played defense and got a yellow card for slide tackling a kid. most of the games were spent yelling at each other.

My first soccer memories are playing when I was 7 in a league where I got pissed because my teammates never stayed in their positions and just chased the ball everywhere like idiotic kids. We scored 3 goals all season and gave up more than 3 goals every game.

I never played again until grad school. We managed to make the finals despite playing 2 girls (granted the three we rotated all played lacrosse at Duke so they were in good shape and knew how to space and be aggressive) at all times when other teams rarely had any and having only one player with college soccer experience, our keeper who was previously the varsity keeper for Duke. We ran into the 1st year med school team in the finals and they had 6 former college players including 4 guys who started for various ACC teams the previous year. We had a former all-state keeper from Texas also who begged to play goal as we knew our best chance to score ever was for our college keeper to play midfield and try to get a good shot on his own vs. the other defense. As a terrible player who wasn't needed for the title game, but ran all our IM sports teams I wore a suit into the torrential downpour and paced the sidelines managing our (unlimited) substitutions at every dead ball to try to play for a shootout where we would have an edge in goalkeeping. I had the HS guy in goal and the college keeper at center mid, but they were getting way too many shots.

I switched this up at the half. After the half we still gave up shots, but nothing good enough to be a real scare until we made an idiotic slide tackle in the box despite ALL slide tackling being outlawed. Their penalty taker ripped one to the right edge of the goal, but it was chest high and the keeper guessed right for a diving save.

Near the end of regulation our keeper takes a back pass and sends the team long. However, he slips a little bit and one of their forwards put on immediate pressure. He never got loose enough to get a kick off and refused to boot it out of bounds. Finally the ball gets taken off his foot and dribbled in the goal. Not 3 minutes later the game ends. I was crushed again.

Mixed sports seems to be a more common thing in USA. I don't think I've ever played a team sport with a woman.
