I feel with like 1 hour of 1 on 1 coaching anyone can average 150 throwing a straight ball.

I feel like you once rolled an 800 series so you now think you can say random **** that pops into your head about bowling and we're all gonna be like "Hey it's that guy who is really good at bowling. Let's see what he has to say."

Every time bowling comes on ESPN I know its time to turn it over for noon/1pm kickoffs.

Bowling fun probably pretty highly correlated to alcohol consumption...I suck and have prob only bowled <5 times since high school. For some reason at our high school the cool thing to do was to get really really drunk out in the parking lot without even going into the bowling alley 90% of the time. There would literally be like 20 kids outside the bowling alley drinking out of flasks and quiktrip cups obv underage it was pretty stupid. Anyway I prob average something terrible like 125 or 130 but one time I got 179 and 183 back to back and never really approached that again. Everytime in college I have just gotten really drunk and bowled and it was fun enough I guess. I always expect to do better than I really do...I feel like the mediocre/bad bowlers like me are always 1/2 pins short of strikes. I would say people who are better have more fun but really that is nowhere near a universal truth. In individual games (like tennis for example) a lot of times the best players have such high expectations that they find a reason to be upset.

It is obv the woat sport to watch and I equate bowling viewers with nascar viewers. I kind of agree with kraze (without knowing anything really) in that you can probably average 150+ with literally like 1 hour of lessons. I could be way off, but I def think this is true

Goddamn, ain't nothing like parking the truck next to a waffle house at the end of an epic ****storm 18 hour day.

Probably for the best, though, that 99% of the time I'm 1500 miles away from the closest waffle house.

Waffle House is kinda my favorite place. Too bad this one isn't one of the few remaining with a smoking section.

Pro tip: ask for them to heat the pecan pie. They throw it on the frying surface with an ice cube under one of those half sphere lid type things. Some will include butter under there even if you don't ask for it. Just being hot and moist turns the thick edge of crust from the worst part into tied for the best part.

If you have to be drunk to enjoy an activity then that activity sucks.

Probably around 60% of the time, and no.

Truck stops have wandering wifi in the parking lots, but a huge chunk of time it is nearly worthless. The signal will be great, but it is as if they have a state of the art, top of the line router hooked up to a 56k modem, with 100 truckers all trying to use it.

Nothing pisses me off more than a lot lizard knocking on my door and waking me up in the middle of the night. One time, though, I almost hooked up with another trucker. He was attractive and super nice, helped me out and gave me advice. We talked for a long time, with him sort of gradually stepping up hitting on me as he was testing the waters for a negative reaction. Looking back on it, I couldn't believe how smoothly he was just escalating things from stuff that he could have plausibly been like, whoa man, you got the wrong idea, if I had turned hostile or something. He finally actually said, "well, alright, if you're not gonna let me suck your ****, I'm gonna leave." I thought about saying, "how do you know I wouldn't rather do the sucking" but I just said, "well, good night." I don't like the whole stranger naked thing and have weird body self-image bull**** like a woman would so when it's explicitly stated rather than spontaneously happening I feel gross/embarrassed/like I'm gonna be terrible, and also he had told me his husband was his co-driver (he was parked right next to me).

We actually ended up talking for at least another fifteen minutes after I said good night. He thought that was a hilarious, succinct way for me to put it.

I once bowled a 279. Next best in the 220s or 230s and have only broken 200 5 or 6 total times. One of those times in the 220s or 230s was with like 12 2p2ers with (small) money on the game the first time a lot of us met early in the summer of 2009 in Vegas. Got accused of hustling by a few of them that night until I regressed to between 140 and 170 for the rest of the night after saying I was a 150s or 160s bowler before we started.
