Speaking of online purchases; just bought a set of these:

Spoiler:

Edit: Bought four different ones. My goal is to have at least one scotch glass for each brand in my cabinet. (I have the Glen Livet, Ardbeg and Bruichladdich ones on their way as well).

I answered every question honestly - "rarely" and "sometimes" were definitely applicable on quite a few of them. To be fair if I didn't have focus issues I would have like 2000 posts instead of 42,000 goddamned ****ing posts.

Anyway, I can't really relate to the problem you allude to as I'm generally pretty keenly aware of my time. The problem before was getting enough forward momentum to get moving, and I also tended to have a utopian expectation of my travel time where I would hit every green light and not get slowed down by anything. Well that never happens so I was late much of the time.

Well, they can consume you in a way that is unhealthy or damaging.

If you get killed in WW and curse out somebody for 2 minutes then live out your life putting it in the past, then that's fine.

If you get killed in WW and proceed to leave a dead hooker in the trunk of your car out of rage for the game, then that's an emotion that would be construed as damaging to your own well being (not to mention the poor hooker!)

Yeah, anyone answering "never" more than once or twice is pretty weird imo.

The test is basically a shill for big pharma.

like, everyone in the world procrastinates. not sure why that is an indication of add.

think you could have an argument re: popular music where you end anywhere from 1960-1965. like 47-62 is absolutely insane.

I grew up with an older brother who was severely hyperactive. God was it brutal sometimes.

I know for sure I'm not hyperactive. If anything I'm hypoactive. I consider a day in which nobody calls my cell phone "a good day". I want my ****ing peace and quiet.

What sucks is even though I'm at least 2 SDs of IQ more intelligent than him, he makes a lot more money. He seems to have used his hyperactivity for good things, such as "selling fire trucks" and "starting his own business" and "becoming a fire Captain at age 36".

He won a plaque when he was an 18 year old volunteer firefighter by showing up to like 400 calls in a calendar year.

I spend my time posting on the internet and telling him to stop being dumb with his money.

Same here, with the proviso that with a certain few people I actually look forward to the calls.

Five minutes gives me time to take a leak, maybe order a drink. Forty minutes gives me time to sneak out and murder a hobo.
Yeah, you're right.

I've gotta chime in here because it seems like the majority of SE are awesome people who show up on-time/early.

I am not one of these people. I'm a habitual late person. I also am guilty of the 5-minute rule, whereupon I'm generally 10mins+ away.

How to explain it? My time management is the worst. It's not as though I'm deliberating lying OR "my time is more valuable than yours". It's that I legitimately think I'm leaving myself enough time to get from point A to point B, but I fail to account for the variables well.

Lately I've been much better, since I understand how bad it is, but the one perk is it's made me able to handle the opposite, when it's done to me. (And it's commonly done to me too) Basically, live and let live attitude.

My family is like this in general. My mom is the Queen of the 5 minute rule, where 5 minutes to her is a New York Hour.

My mom's the same way, but I think she does it intentionally at times.

My dad has never been late to anything. He'd watch the jv basketball team play in high school.
