I have a friend who says 10 minutes and then shows in in 45 mins to an hour. With women this is at least somewhat expected at times, but he's a dude.

The solution is to give him a time 1 hour earlier than necessary obviously

This seems akin to the razor "it's easier to ask for forgiveness, than permission"

It's deferring pain.

I can't stand these kinds of people. They're usually good personalities to party with, but usually the most unreliable and untrustworthy people.

I know 3 of these kinds of people and they all have the same characteristics. IMO, keep them around for what they're good for, and nothing else.

Have yet to crack it open. I don't really drink at all on weekdays and I was out of town all last weekend. Will likely have a TR this weekend, also have some Glenfiddich 12 that my roommate picked up over the weekend that I'll give a try.

Coke joke? Or serious? Not sure if serious.

I feel like I can write a whole thesis on this topic. No joke.

The typical glen conundrum. So close (in name and price), and yet so far.

I've had one good steak salad in my life. And the key to that salad, iirc, was the goat cheese.

(medium rare ftr).
