some guy who is apparently worshiped in the lvl forum for his trs made a second account to make himself look cool and charitable and maybe lied about dating and/or ****ing a stripper.

as someone who has never read that forum before it was painful to read. i kept hoping it would get better but it never did.

yeah its not worth reading

cliffs: some guy wrote a couple epic trip reports, including meeting up with like 10 2+2ers with pics, but lied about lots of stuff like dating a stripper he pulled out of the rhino, degening away 200k etc. This most recent time around he 'lost his wallet' and borrowed from 2+2ers, most of whom he has paid back. Unclear if he was setting up a long con or is just an attention whore liar

Disturbing uptick in schizoprenia on 2p2 recently. First the guy claiming to be a model who works on Survivor, then this guy. These guys should be gobbling thorazine.

HBO Go is pretty hardcore.

I remember spending $50 + on all these sopranos and wire DVDs and every hbo show ever is right there as part of your subscription now.

Going to be interesting to see how it pans out when they cut the cable companies out and go straight Netflix style.

I've read multiple articles on this and they basically say

1. HBO and the media companies have a very good, profitable relationship right now.
2. HBO thinks it would make less profit, I believe they make $7 per subscriber currently.

it seems like this has to be it. i mean how would they make less profit when they're essentially giving away hbo go for free as it is? "no we don't want any additional money that would be bad for profits"

I browsed an article earlier I think they had their major reason (or one of) as not being able to cover the costs of transactions on their own, which is HOF level spin.

The only downside if HBO were autonomous would be if the cable companies cut them out, since short term a la carte streaming wouldn't cover those losses.
