You doing Europe or BVI? The BVI week isn't too bad, especially if you book with girls. Double especially since you would be flying out of Atlanta and your flight is way cheaper than going all the way to Croatia or Italy.

My friends and I have been talking about doing the Europe one for awhile, but it's not going to happen until a few of them get out of med school/residency and actually start making real doctor money.

Carolina Cup in SC is elite for belligerent daytime drinking, hot girls in sundresses, and random gambling.

There's something almost admirable about the unabashed celebration of being born WASPy and rich when you look at photos from the Kentucky Derby.

This event makes Augusta National look like Compton.

I feel like whenever racist idiots ask in response to Black History Month "Why isn't there a white history month derp?" you can just point them to Kentucky Derby photos and say "There. There's your celebration of being white."

Those clothes were purchased at the SEC football crowd emporium.

I would prefer the BVI one bc I think Europe would cost me a Fri, week, and Mon off work which is 2 extra vacation days that are used exclusively for travel and is about another $1k or so. I'm also planning to do the World Cup next year though and Europe plus World Cup would leave me 0 vacation days for the rest of the year.

I figure BVI cost from ATL is going to be about $3k all in. However, my friends here are basically never going to do this because they're way too cheap and my friends in other cities would rather go to the ones in Europe. I'd do Europe if I thought thats what it took to get it together.

The girl idea is one I have wanted to do in practice as it would make it more fun and affordable, but I definitely wouldn't want a coupley trip and don't think I know enough single girls willing to go and pay there own way and there is no way the guys are going to agree to front their costs to have extra girls on the boat.

that navy blazer + light blue searsucker shorts is truly a terrible look

benzo withdrawal ****ing sucks. i stopped taking them after a week and 3 days later i'm still having symptoms. i've got a ton more and i can't imagine what it would be like if i had kept taking them.

do not ever take benzos for an extended period of time imo.

Even though I'm white, I'd feel horribly uncomfortable hanging out in a group like this. Like I'm flat-out not white enough to fit in with this crew.

Rest of the clothes are bad, but popped collars don't really bother me. I have done it before simply because people get FURIOUS over it for some reason.

Is that guy really wearing patterned cream trousers? No wonder he looks so uncomfortable.

Just off the top of my head I can think of three guys I know in the precise subset of "went to law school and now are 'real estate developers'" working for their dad or father in law. They'd fit in that crowd pretty well.

yea, I dont get the hate for that pic at all. the only nonstandard horse racing attire in the pic is the girl on the right not wearing a sundress. maybe the red is a little bright on the middle girl, but that seems fine. guys are all dressed appropriately.

Maybe the worst I've ever seen in person was at a UVA football game where all the frat bros were wearing shorts with button downs and ties

See the thing I don't get is that by the time they leave their house, at least a few people will have had a chance to say "are you really going out in public like that" and yet no one does. If we have any nukes left after happy valley, lock on the SEC please.

What statement are you making with that attire? There's no class, no swag, you're basically just saying "I'm an over-privileged whitey and proud of it." It's by all means a horrible look to anybody outside of the social circles where it comes standard.

This neg is 100% right.

That's only true if you have a definition of "social circle" that includes entire cities. CDL is 100% on point wrt this sort of dress being completely standard.

I personally think the navy blazer/blue shorts combo looks absolutely terrible, but afaict one of the upsides of being a drunk, rich, and entitled frat boy is to able to dress like that and have it be socially acceptable.

I think it was some kind of standard uniform for them. And UVA is in the ACC bro.
