How many people like all those goofy comedies he likes (Sandlers, Super Troopers, Ferrells, Dodgeball, Borat, etc.) and then also consider Zoolander and Office Space "notably not funny" and The Simpsons and Seinfeld "awful"? I find it hard to believe that it's all that many.

CDL: out of all the ****ty comedies in the last however many years, what made you pick Hall Pass as one of those 9 notably unfunny ones? Just curious. I had to google it to remember what it was.
bc hall pass was one of the only ones in the 2010s that I had seen and it was pretty bad.

CYE is rare in that each season is better than the previous one, imo. Adding leon gave it a whole new dimension.

For my $, Arrested Development was the peak of sitcoms.

BBT hate is a bit perplexing to me. I enjoy the show, some funny moments. Although, it is pretty formulaic in its approach making it somewhat predictable.

Still watch Family Guy for the opportunity to see something with Stewie/Brian that has never been done.

Watch The League, IASunny (used to be hilarious, kinda tapering off).

Tosh.O creates the laughs in my house, obviously not a sitcom.

30 Rock has been a great show. Community had some good stuff. Should probably get into Workaholics next...

Things CDL is wrong about:

1. Listing GOAT Food
2. Listing GOAT Comedies
3. Every social situation
4. Flagrant Fouls against Ron Artest

If Modern Family had been cancelled over Christmas its first season we might be looking at it as a brilliant sitcom that didn't get its due. Instead it blew up into a huge hit and the writers decided they didn't want to risk that, so all the jokes fell into predictable formula and stereotyping.

oh yeah, i always forget to mention Eastbound in stuff i watch

Season 1 was incredible. I just remember flipping through the TV with my sister and brother-in-law and I said "hey, I heard this is good, want to check it out?" It was episode 4, so we immediately jumped in with Cutler stroking himself on the exercise bike and then having terrible sex with April. Pretty good way for a comedy to hook me in.

I can't watch Seinfeld without feeling like it's a less funny Curb. Probably has to do with me watching Curb first of the two shows but everything about it is so much better.

I can kind of see not liking Seinfeld, which is sort of a specific type of humor that might not be for everyone. But not liking The Simpsons (assuming we're talking prime years) is absolutely mindblowing.
