Dogfish (60 or 90) is near the top of widely available IPAs. Stone IPA is the one I'd put clearly above it, but Stone is a megaelite brewery so no shame there.

Maybe some stuff is widely available other places that aren't here, but Dogfish combines accessibility and quality quite nicely in general. The 90 min isn't too bad a deal; it is 9% after all.

Not to mention aroma...

My favorite part of the Lagunitas IPA experience is how much it smells like pot.

it has a unique hoppy bitterness that is almost a tad fruity and may be the most refreshing IPA, and yes it has a distinct pot-like smell

Abundant in California, Washington, and Oregon, for sure. Been big in Chicago for a bit. I guess I take it for granted. So much so that they're opening a brewpub here. Great for other markets because it could lower transportation costs to the east coast if production goes up here.

It is very Belgian-esque in color and the way the sugars hit the tongue. Turns me into a chronic sipper, so delicious.

dogfish 60 is fine but not elite. really good well rounded and not overpowering ipa. bells 2hearted is a bit better as is founder's ipa imo. all are about on the same solid tier.

ruination has been surpassed by many recent hardcore bitter beers. used to be the top rung of bitter.

here are some grate strong ipa's:

-southern tier unearthly
-avery maharaja
-epic brewery in salt lake had an ipa but i cant remember. was either called hopulent or imperial.
-weyerbacher double simcoe (very unique flavor with only simcoe hops)
-columbus brewery bodhi ipa (rilly hard to find, only distributed in kegs)

i like the west coast citrusy types:
-green flash west coast ipa
-fathead's head hunter ipa (dunno if they are distributing it very far from ne ohio)
-brew kettle white raja (local to ne ohio, cant even find it here hardly ever. its the goat tho. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2470/62722)
-flower power from ithaca brewery

also rilly like the sierra nevada northern hemisphere, its a pretty light brew, mebbe not an ipa.

IPAs are the most overrated form of beer. Brick Store Pub way too hard to get into without an hour+ wait though. Thats my only issue with the place.
