Music comes much more naturally to me so it doesn't seem like an effort, really. how you feel about music is probably close to how I feel about most of the visual arts (although, I mean, I like some paintings and stuff, but I would never consider myself any sort of tastemaker nor would I try to be one).

I've been trying to think of a list of "possible names for a Radiohead tribute band" but I just can't get past "Karma Police".

Well the immediate payoff of listening to great music is that you're listening to great music. Sharp perception is just an optional side benefit.
