Another thing is that those ~50 albums have maybe a dozen artists, with some artists like Dylan I could make a top ten list of just him.
In the best order I can come up with:
Highway 61 Revisited
Blood on the Tracks
Bringing It All Back Home
Time Out Of Mind
Oh Mercy
Blonde on Blonde
Love and Theft
The Freewheelin Bob Dylan
Street Legal
Modern Times
Desire
ok so that's 11 in the heavy rotation
tried to do an honest order of how much I've listened to each one rather than what I think are best or are my favorites
Ringleader of the Tormentors
Vauxhall and I
Viva Hate
Years of Refusal
My Early Burglary Years
Your Arsenal
Bona Drag
Maladjusted
Louder Than Bombs
The Queen is Dead
Strangeways: Here We Come
The Smiths
Meat is Murder
XO
Figure 8
From a Basement on the Hill
Elliott Smith
Either/Or
Roman Candle
Jesus Christ, I swear I don't TRY to be a hipster when it comes to music. Left off a ton of (both single and multiple album) artists in the heavy rotation. And it really is the heavy rotation -- not just a list of albums I've listened to at least once or some ****. I've made tons of room for music listening my whole life, at the expense of most everything else, especially social interaction. At least now I can spend 100% of my working hours listening to the music I choose, with no one else hearing and judging. Although lately I have been doing jazz, blues, and pre-1980s country music on satellite and terrestrial radio, to the point where sometimes I don't even put in a single album. First time in my life, basically.

I listen to albums too rarely, mostly listen to my massive Spotify list on shuffle, so this list will not likely project my taste too accurately. Also won't list any Finnish bands.
The Beatles - 1967-1970 First CD I owned, got it on Christmas when I was maybe 8. The Police - Ghost In The Machine Another one I got when I was young. Green Day - American Idiot One of those albums that really needs to be listened as a whole, and I used to have this in my car. Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy One of the few that I occasionally go back to, and listen through. Have a couple times put it on and played along on my piano, and been playing with the idea of doing a medley. The Killers - Hot Fuss Another one I used to blast in my car. One of my favorite indie records. Linkin Park - Meteora One of the first albums I bought with my own money, if not the first. Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane Haven't listened to too much of their newer stuff, but this album is really solid, imo. Another Christmas present, and I remember laying poolside on a vacation in Spain listening to this on my CD player. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium Got this one in middle school, and went back to it when I got a car. U2 - All That You Can't Leave Behind Again one of my oldest CDs. We used to listen to this one summer on a car trip over and over.
I've also listened to Taking Back Sunday's Live From Orensanz like 10 times in the past few weeks. Really good acoustic performance. Didn't know most of the songs beforehand, and after listening to the original versions, I prefer these arrangements in almost every case.
Am I the only one who just doesn't listen to much music anymore? I still listen to the radio from time to time, and I've got music on my computer from years past, but I just don't listen to much anymore.

Songs About Jane is a great start to finish album. I listened to it a bunch my freshman year of college. Maroon 5 pretty much went to **** after, but that was a great album.
I also remember wearing out Goo Goo Doll's "A Boy Named Goo", Offspring's "Americana", and Third Eye Blinds self titled album on family road trips in the late 90s. I had a portable CD player that I constantly had to make sure was flat and right side up so the CD would play.
