There's a kid in my hometown that I called a perfect game 18 k's for in little league. Apparently this summer he was hammered and retold the story and the 18th k was a full count and the pitch was at least a foot outside.

yes this until you have to deal with all of them

i had a trailer trash parent come up to me, finger waving and all and tell me if she ever saw the ref (who is a 15 yr old kid) again she would "whip his ass" because he was clearly cheating and setting a bad example for her kids in a game which she referred to as a "travesty". she said she expected an investigation into the matter and that she had already demanded a refund and that every one of his calls was bull****

her kid was playing in 5th grade.

actually i have considered going to pro school for umpiring and doing the minor league grind but i dont really want to spend 3k to go to an umpire camp

lol i guess

the ref called me after the game and said that she called him a mother ****er multiple times to his face. not really that funny for a 15 year old kid to be in a spot like that.

My brother did this, went to the Jim Evans school in Florida. Not only is it a lot of money, but they took very few people. In my brother's class, they only took people who had been there multiple times.

Then if you get selected, you get to go through the minor leagues, get paid ****, and still have a very slim chance of ever making it big.

yeah thats where I was looking

the organization Im with now does a scholarship but Ive never applied for it

had 2 buddies do it, both enjoyed it, but both are way more "umpire nerd" than I am. I def strive for perfection and look to improve but idk if Id want to commit to doing it professionally. Plus doing 30 games in 30 days living in a hotel with a guy I dont know and sharing a car for sometimes up to 4 hr 1 way trips all to make about 2k doesnt sound appealing.

I've thought about coaching, but I'd do position only stuff. Goalkeeper skills are very easy to learn and can make vast improvements really quickly.

I dropped my netbook on the ground and when i start it up it won't boot and the hard drive sounds like there is an alarm clock inside of it.

So a) can this be fixed b) should i get a new HD for $55 or c) any netbook recommendations?
