Highland has some assorted malts for around $20 a fifth. I've enjoyed many, not too expensive and good for the price.

Go to settings --> extensions (or, if you use fi.refox, add-ons) and remove a coupon plugin, whatever it's called. Yeah it's adware.

It sucks, Id prefer not to ever see the dude again but if he wanted to start some **** for whatever reason i suppose we are gonna have to fight. Fighting sucks but sometimes you got to take a beating ( and taking a beating really sucks)
It would be a fairish fight. I am much bigger than he is but he's definitely been in many more fights and has a crazy factor working for him.

fairly drunk in 2 of them and drinking but not at all drunk in the other. He was either blackout or basically blackout in all 3. According to third parties he doesnt even remember the last 2 times and he apologized for the first one and it seemed sincere.

I did instigate him in the first two scenarios by talking **** about sports and I knew it would piss him off, but its still an overreaction on his part. In the third scenario I got bumped in a crowded bar and spilled a little beer on him earlier in the night (and apologized), but other than that we didnt talk that night.

He does know I wouldnt hit back in that scenario because in all instances he was around a bunch of frat bros and I was with my friend and only knew a few of them and after talking to my friend after the first instance he told me to let him handle him and that it wasn't worth getting wrapped up in. I know all the other guys respected my friend.

Also, this guy doesn't have a lot to lose in terms of job etc. from a fight or arrest whereas I do.

I enjoy how we've progressed from CDL explaining why he's not offended by any words or insults to CDL explaining why he's not offended by being punched in the face three separate times.

meh. what are wrong with my actions? I dont get why the passive stance is not ok or even generally used. I dont enjoy it, but its not the end of the world and certainly not worth getting more involved in.

Nothing's wrong with you living the life you want to live, of course. Given your descriptions of how being passive has worked out for you, though, I can't see how you can't see why more people don't live that way.

Anyway, the initial comment wasn't meant as life advice, just found the progression funny. If your goal was to make the "sticks and stones" stance seem more reasonable by comparison, I think it worked.

I adopted this stance around college. When I had less to lose I would throw a punch, but it seems like there is a lot of downside to fighting back and little to walking away. It isnt uncommon for both parties of a fight to get arrested or at least banned from the bar where I live. Also, the best that can come out of fighting back is you win easily and someone in a position of authority vouches for you and says you werent the aggressor. Even in those cases you usually take a shot, end up with a ripped shirt, or something of that nature. Whats the benefit of me getting hit more (I doubt I'm straight up knocking many people out with one punch due to my lack of fighting experience) and ending up needing to throw my clothes out due to rips or blood on them? In the past 10 years I have been punched exactly 4 times-3 by this guy and one deflected blow by a good friend when we cut him off on his 21st bday. Doesn't seem like I'm sacrificing a lot by not fighting.

I have some friends of friends who end up in bar fights monthly and frankly seem to enjoy it. When I am out with them and sense one is coming I usually just walk to another bar and meet back up with them later. Like I said, the last thing I need on my record is an arrest for disorderly conduct or assault as that doesn't look great to most employers.

edit: I understand that people are saying that you fight back to keep respect and dignity, but I dont understand the why that gets respect because most of my social circles dont think more highly of people that fight back.

I had this. One of the most annoying damn things ever. People's names would have a hotlink to like some cruise deal or some ****. wtf.

I had to remove a toolbar on firefox. I forget what it was called I think Search Now or something. But it was one of the stupid toolbars that companies are always trying to get you to take as a package along with some useful extension. Removed the toolbar and haven't seen it since.
