bourbon = underrated, scotch = overrated ime. although bourbon has kind of exploded in my drinking lifetime, so i imagine there are plenty of people who feel the same way out there.

(i like scotch, but certain ones i don't like, can't say the same of bourbon)

That was a misclick from the pull-down menu. If you were the one who used the F word spelled with an "e" in the middle (instead of a) then that's what got you - since that's what El Rata rata'd you for.

Time two was in a bar and his girlfriend started hysterically crying and was pushing him out of the bar with a bouncer on the other arm while he kept trying to come towards me and was talking ****. Throwing a punch would just be asking to get arrested or at least thrown out of the bar.

Time three was outside a bar and cops are always in the area so I just walked the other way while some of his friends pushed him across the street and into a taxi.

The first one was by far the worst as I was 100% caught off guard and he had a running start. The other two I knew to be careful and expect something silly to happen.

When I said hi to him it was just my natural reaction. I hadn't seen him since the third punch, but what was he really going to do in Kroger?
something doesnt add up here

getting alcohol poisoning on cheap bourbon at age like 19 ruined it for me I still drink plenty of it and still enjoy it but something about the taste, the sweetness maybe, turns me off a little I guess.

Scotch is so good but the price is outrageous

yeah, same here. I know scotch is supposed to be the more fancy and complex liquor, but I just really prefer the smoothness of a good bourbon.

And, btw, I like both of the posters who are the main characters. The negative portrayal is a satirized form of haters' hate. I hope at least one person enjoys it.

scotches are more complex, but yeah - some of them just taste like wood or cigars or peat. it's unimaginable to me that a bottle of e.g. eagle rare is nearly half the price of johnny walker black.

well i qualified that if it's in a public place then i prob wouldn't do anything right then. also said i'd address the situation later though, but i just feel it's a matter of self respect. not going to let some dude think he can hit me and i am going to walk away everytime

yeah exactly.

so reporting back: the Elmer Lee isn't anything too special but the Willett is pretty elite. super smooth, although ofc there's a limit to how smooth a 119.6 proof bourbon can finish.

my buddy picked up a bottle of 1776 15 year. that was incredible.

CDL, the 2nd time was where you ****ed up. Even if he is capable of beating your ass it would have gotten broken up quickly. Yea, ive mentioned it here before, but i got sucker punched pretty bad ( black eye for a week) by a dude because i fired him. It sucks, Id prefer not to ever see the dude again but if he wanted to start some **** for whatever reason i suppose we are gonna have to fight. Fighting sucks but sometimes you got to take a beating ( and taking a beating really sucks)

I'll feed the troll one more time and give you my perspective once I get my laptop out. Or maybe someone could find it, probably in the Kobe Bryant thread. Cliffs is that obviously I don't want to be offended, but you and I are talking about two very different things when we use the word offended, and someone with your point of view has obviously never experienced my definition.

no its not even that.

its like, wtf did cdl do to make this dude sucker punch him 3 times. presumably, this dude is in contact with tons of human beings during the course of his life, and he istn sucker punching dudes rite and left. but as soon as he sees cdl, it happens.

i dunno, cdl, how often have you been in his presence and he didnt punch you?

based on experience, id say the guy knows cdl is a mark and wont hit back. so he pulls the "ima hit this guy (again) bc im an angry drunk, and aint nothin gonna happen to me" bitch-move.
