you can't call 'dibs' on a cornhole.

well, maybe you can, but only for the first game, then it's winners stay on.

duh

wouldn't refer to this as the rule of dibs but it definitely stands. the alternative being whoever yells loudest/is closest when the game ends? pretty sure being able to call the next game here is what separates us from the animals.

Dibs can convert tiresome contests of physical speed and/or parking one's ass in a single location into those of verbal speed. All reasonable parties involved will likely have an interest in avoiding unnecessary footraces or ass-parking, so yeah, dibs seems like a good idea.

In this case, yes. If you call dibs and catch a flight overseas, on the other hand, the other person should probably get your spot.

Also, I subscribe to the one-attempt model of dibs. If you call dibs on a seat, for instance, and fall down in a graceless heap while attempting to sit, it's no longer yours.

I think it's acceptable to call next, but you need to be near when the game ends. You get a courtesy shout once the game ends, but after that, it's fair game to take your spot.

This is pretty much me to a tee but I'm the idiot who still keeps it on his lap because I'm apparently an idiot. Have a case though and haven't had to replace since.

yeah wtf

verbal calling of next has to be the most standard thing ever

then you get a mental list going. group y knows they are after group x.

if group x is MIA for like more than a minute or two then they lose out.

Ive had my smartphone for 2 years and there are no scratches on the screen at all, even with keys in the pocket. i also hate how the screen protector makes the phone look, all blurry and ****

You can walk into an Apple Store and insure it through your own plan, afaik. Doesn't need to deal with work account.

Applecare is so much better than a case imo.

edit: Although, if you might leave the company Applecare could be overkill. You wanna make sure you'll use the two years of it.

Yahoo! Sportacular is great imo, but I've been using the pro version. Has all the news, stats, and scores. Also has social network integration and notifications you can set up for your favorite teams when a game starts, when the game is close, and when it ends. Thats my favorite part, but maybe sportstap has it too, havent used that app in a long time.

Spent the last 5 days on the east coast, not sure how people deal with sports starting so late. Mnf doesn't get going until 845, and never get to watch west coast NBA/MLB

when you're still at the craps table in Vegas at 11am on super bowl Sunday after a 24 hour gambling binge is a hard way to figure out the game starts 3 hours earlier than you expected.

I'm a bit jealous of the betting advantage they have, though, knowing the results earlier than east coasters do.

yeota nailed it, boot.

i do remember one time this kid and his girlfriend we up after 1 more group. me and my buddy won, the other group got on and the kid told us we had to go, and i quote, 'to the back of the bus. you had your turn, now we're up'.

laughed for a solid minute. then we won again and they came up and he wouldn't put even $5 on it. hahaa
