I mean, we throw around terms like "he got raped" and "he has caught AIDS" pretty lightly. I dont really think thats something rational adults consider socially acceptable either, but no one ever gets banned for that.

It was exactly what you would expect fig guy to post. I think he meant "fruit" in the sense that people who go walking around public places naked are weirdo attention whores (maybe the flamboyant naked gays who walk around publicly in the nude) more than a specific reprimand of gays in general but I am probably being generous and either way he phrased it poorly. I just don't remember him ever posting anything explicitly anti-gay there have been tons of opportunity to do so in politards.

Well, I know when I called something AIDS while watching a game with friends a week or two ago people were like "Wtf, you cant say that" and these same people dont think anything about people yelling "youre a ****ing piece of **** ******" so I am pretty sure that at least some percentage of the population thinks it worse to throw around AIDS as a way to describe something terrible. In fact, everytime I have ever said AIDS to mean something terrible irl it has gotten a negative reaction.
