I hope this SC piece on Sean Taylor aired in prime time or is going to air tomorrow, that was way too good to bury this late at night.

While a lot of the times getting your foot in the door is low paying internships, a lot of teams (at least from what I've seen in basketball and baseball) will hire people who have demonstrated skills for full time positions without the front office work. At least at the analyst level, it's much harder to get in via the scouting/coaching route without any experience I imagine. All the other non-operations front office stuff (sales, marketing, etc.) non-sports experience in the field is plenty in most cases from what I've seen.

If I knew there was a team that had a lot of idiot redneck parents id sometimes force him to do homeplate to deal with them. Dude would throw somebody out almost every game and almost got into physical altercations a few times. Loved working with him.
Late to thread, but as a former referee for competitive sports (LOL HS soccer) i know that feel bro

i don't know how much i paid for it the last time in the states, but it certainly wasn't a lot and it was a perfectly competent beer

Opportunity cost imo. You could be drinking an actual good beer (America is swilling with the stuff) instead.

I've rewatched Lost twice after seeing some of the earlier episodes like 5+ times before the finale. So overall I've seen the entire thing 3 times, s1-3 like 6 times or so.

Has its flaw, but damn amazing show. I hated the finale when it came out but now I think it way the perfect way to go.

My gf had a pretty awful tv background so I've been rewatching the good stuff she has missed w her.

Over the past couple years we've watched/caught up with:

The Wire
Sopranos
Deadwood
BB
Mad Men
West Wing (first watch for me)

Took a couple months off after west wing since it took forever to watch 985 episodes.

So now I'm thinking Shield or Lost. Was going to catch up on Justified with her but I bought the Blu rays and now my ps3 just broke so going to wait on that. FNL will watch eventually but too soon prolly.
