Infinite Jest is not for everyone. It's taken me months to get through it.

I can't imagine listening to the audiobook version either. Even if it had the endnotes, which I don't think it has, the appearance of the text is a big part of enjoying it, and it's so heteroglossic that I can't imagine the voice actor managing to correctly capture all of the cadences of the different prose styles and **** like that.

edit: My favorite DFW story is "Good Old Neon" from Oblivion.

Ipod, Braves radio through phone (keep finding reasons not to get satellite radio)

Plowed through all the loveline (with Adam carolla, as if I'd listen to it without him) recordings I have, need to download more through truck stop WiFi. And need to get the Adam carolla show itself.

Any podcasts or radio shows anyone can recommend? Maybe I should just give in to sat radio convenience and listen to best of Howard stern on it or something

Also, CB is dead. Silence for hours. I hear people stopped using it in the mid 90s

Feel like half of Henry17s book would be calling everyone on the forum misogynist nerds. Lol poor people.

Lets say 6 weeks from now you are at a halloween party with ~60 people. How many do you think will be dressed like this guy:

Idk but I was originally thinking of going as Walter white until that **** hit and now am considering going as the dude from the elevator in he video, or psy when he is on the beach in the opening scene

Yeah elevator guy and psy would be a great two-man costume. Even better if you had sliding doors to enter the party.

I'm getting a gorilla mask and rustling.

Yeah, good call buddy since you were here to lock the thread in less than 5 minutes.

Also,

3. Do not call people names. "You are a dick" "You are a ******" "You are a moron, donkey, *******, asshat" etc are not going to work. You can say someone's post is illogical, not thought out, ignorant, etc. But no direct attacks. Bastardizing peoples names counts. Douchesmeidreu is the textbook example.

I suggest How Stuff Works "Stuff You Should Know" primarily because if you listen to a few and like it, then you have like a 6 year, 400+ episode backlog you can also listen to.

Someone asked me yesterday if I thought the Gangnam Style dance would become a wedding staple in the months and years to come. I feel it will go by the wayside as quick as it hit, but who knows. Do you think people will be doing that dance at weddings in two years?
